Charity & Associates, P.C., established in 1994 by Elvin E. Charity, is a Chicago-based law firm built on a foundation of taking a proactive approach to law and finance. Since the firm’s inception, the attorneys of Charity & Associates, P.C. have handled sophisticated matters for a variety of large and small clients, ranging in size from Fortune 500 corporations and large governmental entities, to sole proprietorships.

Charity & Associates, P.C.’s primary areas of practice are real estate law and finance and municipal law and finance. The firm regularly represents national commercial banks, state, county and local governmental authorities and bond issuers, public housing authorities, for-profit developers, and nonprofit lenders and developers in complex real estate law and finance and municipal law and finance matters including commercial real estate lending, real estate development, loan restructuring and workout of distressed assets, zoning and land use, tax increment financing, tax credit financing, taxable and tax exempt bond issuance, project finance, land acquisition and disposition, and commercial leasing.
